“Believe
on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts
16:31)
The
Bible holds the key to our most important spiritual
need: a relationship with God. The Bible communicates a straightforward
message of
reconciliation with timeless relevancy. Everyone has questions about
God, but a great many people are unsure where to look for the answers.
If we approach God's Word with fallacious reasoning rather than
humility, we will fall short of understanding how the Gospel message is
relevant to us.
In one of the most important passages of the
Bible,
Jesus explains, "except a man be born-again, he cannot see the kingdom
of God" (John 3:3). Additional scripture passages explain the details:
| • |
The Reality: "All have sinned"
Romans 3:23 "The soul that sinneth, it shall die" Ezekiel 18:4 |
| • |
The Risk: "And then will I [Jesus]
profess unto them, I never knew you,
depart from me, ye that work iniquity" Matthew 7:23 |
| • |
Our Need: "Being justified by
faith, we have peace with God through our Lord
Jesus Christ" Romans 5:1 |
| • |
God's Provision: "For by grace are
ye saved through faith, and that not of
yourselves, it is the gift of God" Ephesians 2:8 |
| • |
Your Confession: "If thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved." Romans 10:9 |
| • |
His Assurance: "These things have
I written unto you that believe on the name of
the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life" 1 John
5:13 |
If you have never asked Jesus to save
you, take a quiet
moment to do that now. Pray, and invite Him into your life to be your
Lord, and your Savior.
